In the first half of this year, Shenzhen Airport has achieved a cargo and mail throughput of 770,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 25.2%. The growth rate is top the list of million-ton airports of the national cargo and mail, of which international cargo and mail throughput increased by more than 50% year-on-year, and the freight businesses continue to maintain a good momentum of development.
This year, Shenzhen Airport has continued to develop the international air cargo market, opening and encrypting 12 international cargo destinations. Especially in the Southeast Asian market, the rapid development of cross-border e-commerce business has driven the air cargo market to continue to flourish. At present, the weekly cargo flight frequency from Shenzhen to Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Manila, Clark, Sabah, Ho Chi Minh and other 7 Southeast Asian cargo destinations has increased to about 60, boosting the economic and trade exchanges between South China and Southeast Asia & ASEAN countries.
In addition, Shenzhen Airport has continued to develop European and American routes and improve its route connections with major freight hubs in Europe and the United States. This year, the new “Shenzhen-Los Angeles” freight route has been opened, and “Shenzhen-Chicago”, “Shenzhen-Luxembourg”, and “Shenzhen-Cologne” have been encrypted. Popular freight routes help the economic and social development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Up to now, the number of international and regional all-cargo flights at Shenzhen Airport has increased to 30.
