China Division had received some questions from our customers (Amazon seller, eBay shopkeeper, Shopify operator, etc.) in the past two months. We found that most of them don’t know how there goods will be managed in our warehouse. So today we are going to share our inventory management method with you.
In a general way, we will create a specific storing area for every customer, which is easier to check the amount and status of your commodity, especially the dead inventory. After your goods enter our warehouse, they will be classified according to the specifications and colors. Besides, the labels and raw material cards will be affixed. Then, the fulfillment staff will record the updated data into our inventory list. It’s worth mentioning that China Division will keep the package clean and safe in our warehouse.
When it comes to the daily delivery and bestseller management, our daily inventory inspection offers not only the latest data but guideline for stocking plan. Products exceeding the inventory turnover days (the total sales volume of five-day preparations for best-selling products in advance) must be immediately stocked.
As for the changing or refunding, our customer service center will be responsible for that, you can contact them for more details if you need to change or refund. What’s more, dangerous goods that are flammable and explosive shall not be stored in our warehouse, and the cleanliness and hygiene of the warehouse will be maintained every day. In addition, our warehouse is equipped with monitoring, so it is hard to appear the goods stolen and the warehouse fire.
Are you still confused about the difference and contrast between DDP and DDU? It’s time to find an order fulfillment company, so that you can save more money and time.
1, Hop on trends early.
Take advantage of an emerging market and carve out a spot for your brand.
To be successful in doing so, it’s pivotal that you stay up-to-date on recent, trending products and services –– and then launch an ecommerce site to capitalize on them before they hit peak popularity.
As a small business owner, hopping on trends early can give your business a huge upside. You’ll have the opportunity to own SEO keywords and establish yourself as a leader within the market you serve early on.
Start thinking of products or services that have been trending up in recent years.
2, Find products that fulfill guilty pleasures.
It always comes back to what we’re passionate about. Another proven successful product is one that caters to customers’ passions, or even their vices.
Shoppers often spend more on their guilty pleasures, developing deep loyalty to brands that understand their obsessions.
From its early beginnings, Jeni’s Ice Cream sought to capture this emotion with their customer base.
3, Identify and serve niche segments.
Niche segments often spell out success for ecommerce businesses.
The reason for niche segments comes down to resonating with a highly-engaged, and highly-converting, audience. Serving a niche segment is a great business proposition because you create a product that solves an issue for a very passionate audience segment.
Serving a passionate niche audience will help build brand awareness, online traffic and, ultimately, new and returning converting customers.
Time is the enemy of many blogs. So, creating updated content is the single biggest way to be different. Not all content will become outdated if it’s evergreen. But, it depends on the industry. For example, the SEO industry changes at a rapid pace. Marketing in general is always changing and there are always new mediums emerging. Content gets outdated. When you find outdated content, there’s opportunity. The most obvious plan of attack is to create an updated piece of content, but that’s not all:
You must create an updated piece of content that blows the other one out of the water. Don’t play nice when it comes to helping the user. It is a competition to see who can help the user more.
content marketing is competitive in the entrepreneur, SEO, and marketing industries.
As long as you have the intention of helping someone, it will improve the value of your website. The moral of the story is that your content needs to help people reach a goal or solve a problem. That means your content must please the user. The internet-age is User-Centric, your focus should always be “what can I do right now to help my prospective customers or readers?”Another thing is, Your content should be so good that your competitors don’t even attempt to beat it. that is the depth of your contents. And last thing but not the end is, you must keep your content creative and unique. Rehashed content won’t earn you backlinks. you’d better use ideas that are already validated. This will increase your content’s chances of success. And here comes to the last step, is to promote your content. It is the most simple way but people don’t really know how important it is, get it done now! to make your content read more and more.
Imagine that you run a small business selling customized iPhone cases to customers. It’s a small business — you’re the sole proprietor — and you spend a good deal of time reaching out to prospective customers, podcasts, guest bloggers, and other means to drum up business. You also spend time dealing with product improvements and customer support.
Your excellent work has led to a tremendous spike in orders… except now you have to somehow process 10–20 orders per day in addition to doing all the other things you were doing.
You have three options:
- You can fulfill the orders yourself and spend the extra few hours a day handling this fulfillment… time that will come out of efforts to grow and sustain your company.
- You can hire someone internally to fulfill these orders and pay them to store and process inventory, pick and reconcile order forms, and then either arrange a carrier pickup (e.g. FedEx) or take them to a distribution center for shipment.
- You can outsource fulfillment with a 3PL, and they will do all of this for you.
Obviously, option #1 isn’t particularly great, because it involves compromising your company’s growth at a pivotal time.
Option #2 isn’t bad… but it is usually quite costly.
Option #3 — using a 3PL Fulfillment center — is a fabulous option in many cases, because it will be cheaper than hiring an associate in terms of absolute-capital outlay, but you’ll also very likely benefit from shipping costs due to a fulfillment center being able to operate with economies of scale (excellent ones ship millions of packages a year and thus have access to the very best shipping rates).
The services a 3PL Fulfillment center will vary based on the place, but over at ChinaDivision, we offer the following services (this list is not exhaustive):
- Warehousing: your product has to sit somewhere. Sheds, storage units, and living rooms are options for some… but a fulfillment center has extensive warehouse space and can warehouse your products for you.
- Inventory/Order Management: When an order comes in from a customer, a great fulfillment center will automatically adjust the available inventory and reconcile the order against current inventory levels.
- Integration: Fulfillment centers should be able to integrate their software with your shopping carts across every channel. So it doesn’t matter if your customer came to you through Amazon, your Shopify site, or your eBay store — all stores should be integrated with your account through the fulfillment center.
- Shipping and Handling: Printing out shipping labels, affixing them to boxes, building the boxes themselves, and then taking all of the units to be shipped… this takes time, money, and effort. Fulfillment companies can handle this easily and turn a 2 hour job into a 15 minute one.
- Special Kitting: Do you have a subscription box that requires assembly? Are you trying to prep your packages for FBA? An exemplary fulfillment center will be able to accommodate any and all of these requests.
There are many benefits to outsourcing your eBay fulfillment. Here are just a few.Save Time In an ideal world, you would ship each item you sell on eBay as soon as the sale is complete. In the real world, a million things can get in the way. The baby needed to go to the doctor or your water heater broke. Perhaps you got hit with the latest virus and couldn’t drag yourself out of bed. When you use a fulfillment center, you eliminate the unexpected delays that come when life gets in the way. Your orders will ship without interruption while you find out if the baby swallowed a penny. When you hand off your fulfillment to the professionals, your business will run more efficiently.
Faster and Less Expensive ShippingA centrally-located fulfillment center can get your packages to most people in the US in two days or less. In addition, since fulfillment centers are bulk shippers, they can often negotiate lower shipping rates. Your eBay fulfillment provider could pass on those savings to you. More accurate picking and packing can lead to fewer returns. Returns cost you money, so that’s more savings. Boost Seller RatingOne easy way for eBay sellers to earn negative feedback is slow shipping. Your eBay fulfillment center can help you communicate with buyers about shipping times. This is a great way to manage expectations and keep them updated on unexpected delays. It’s even better if their order arrives quickly with no extra hassles. A fulfillment warehouse can make all of that happen. The employees at 3PL providers pick and pack shipments all day, every day. Fulfillment warehouses have systems in place to ensure accuracy. Your customer’s order can go out the day after your customer makes the purchase (and many times the same day)
